Interactive business analytics content, right from the classroom — Harish Krishnan, professor of operations and logistics at UBC’s Sauder School of Business, saw an opportunity to use open resources to develop in-demand business analytics skills using ‘real-life’ business problems.
Inspired by open code repositories used in disciplines like data science and computer science, his newly-launched hub Analytics@Sauder hosts open and interactive business analytics materials.
Students were employed to help build the site and content with a grant from the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund. And while the site is live, Harish is quick to note that this is not a final product — he aims to build a community by encouraging participation from students, instructors and alumni in related disciplines.
