Science Literacy Week Wikipedia Edit-a-thon – September 18 12:00 – 3:00 PM

To celebrate National Science Literacy Week, September 18-25, UBC will be hosting a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon focused on adding more content to Wikipedia about Canadian Science and Scientists.  Editing Wikipedia is a way for faculty, students and staff to engage in open collaboration, and contribute to public knowledge. Wikipedia Edit-a-thons improve the encyclopedia and can be a great way to work with the platform and consider how it might be used in your courses or practice. The event will take place on Monday, September 18 12:00 – 3:00 PM at Woodward Library, Main Entrance Area.  More information is available at http://guides.library.ubc.ca/scilit17/wiki. The event is open and no registration is needed. Please bring your own laptop. No prior experience necessary!
